A badass motherfucker by the name of Chad Kerr brought Shark Pants together. Dick and Chad new each other and had been playing in bands together since they lived in Port Huron, Michigan. Then for different reasons they both ended up in Tucson so they formed the Blacks. Isaac was playing in a band with his brother Levi down in Nogales, AZ. A small border town where the majority of the mucic scene was and is to this day still happening on the Mexican side. They later moved to Tucson and became the Swing Ding Amigos, still playing constantly and setting up out of town bands with shows in Mexico, the Swing Dings were introduced to the Blacks by the Wrecks, a band from Tucson that played a show with them in Nogales and who later became Foolscap Fire. So they all became homies. And the Blacks took the Swing Ding Amigos on tour with them. In the meantime, Vannessa was at all the Blacks and Swing Ding Amigos shows but never had the courage to start her own band. Especially coming from Nogales where a strong machismo attitude still exists today. Unfortunatly the world lost Chad to unnatural forces on the road somewhere along the way..... (R.I.P.) Through much sadness and time without playing music, Dick asked Vannessa to play in a band with him so they enliisted Isaac and became Shark Pants.
